Consumers using certain electrical installations are required to hold an electrical installation license and engage a licensed electrical worker of the appropriate class
to carry out regular inspection of their installations. This is to ensure that the installations are safe to use. This handbook covers the electrical installation licensing regime and the roles and responsibilities of the consumers.
